Resilience
“Outcomes are directly related to how we respond to what we experience in life.”
We are the authors of our lives.
Our words and behaviours, repeated again and again in similar situations, in similar ways, with predictable outcomes, become the script of living. If these patterns result in effective outcomes, they represent positive scripts and should be repeated.
In contrast, when our words and actions, although repeated for weeks,
months, and in some instances years, are self-defeating, ineffective, or
counterproductive, it is wise to abandon them. Yet frequently we
continue to follow these negative scripts, sometimes
more forcefully than before.
In this workshop you will:
- Explore case studies of resilient people
- Discover the five key reasons people don’t change
- Take a plan away to implement change in your own life
“I was fortunate enough to recently attend
a course taken by Barry Larsen called Maintaining Resilience
- Who’s Pulling Your Strings?. The class comprised of
9 attendees and each of us was made to feel special no matter our circumstances. Barry
has a unique manner that brings out the best in others. He was interested
in how each of the team felt and responded accordingly. It was very empowering
and the day wasn’t long enough.
The day was very informative and
was one of the best I have attended all year. I would totally recommend
Barry as someone who brings out the best in any team and is a pleasure
to listen to.”
